HSBC has secured 2,864 square feet on the ground floor of 250 West 57th Street, just steps from the new Nordstrom Midtown flagship location at 225 West 57th Street, according to a press release issued by the property’s owner Empire State Realty Trust.
According to a spokeswoman for ESRT, the lease was signed for 10 years and five months.
“Our fantastic location on billionaires’ row, surrounded by luxury condos and hotels, corporate offices, the new Nordstrom flagship store and Columbus Circle, appealed to HSBC,” said ESRT president Thomas P. Durels, in prepared remarks.
JLL’s Craig Slosberg represented HSBC in the transaction. A spokesman for JLL did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
ESRT’s Fred C. Posniak represented the landlord in negotiations, with help from Cushman & Wakefield’s Joanne Podell and Ian Lerner.
