reprintsDecision Desk and Eastern Harbor Media have both signed five-year, 2,500-square-foot leases at the Moinian Group‘s 37 West 17th Street property, where asking rent was $42 per square foot.
“The whole neighborhood is a magnet for tech and digital media companies,” Eliot Warren of the Kaufman Organization, who represented the tenants, told The Commercial Observer.
Decision Desk, an applicant tracking software provider, will move in on the top floor of the seven-story building after outgrowing its Williamsburg office. The company, which is currently renovating the space, is expected to move in within the next 30 days.
Eastern Harbor Media, a digital publishing company, will be relocating to 37 West 17th Street from Chelsea. The firm’s space was previously occupied by Savored, an internet restaurant reservation service acquired by Groupon last year.
“It fit the bill perfectly,” Mr. Warren said of the space. “The space was already techie, it’s a really nice space with wood floors and central duct work.”
Mr. Warren also recently represented Persado, a marketing persuasion technology firm, in a 6,500-square-foot lease nearby on 17th Street. The London-based company received $15 million in venture funding to set up a New York office. The Series A funding was led by Bain Venture Capital. Mr. Warren declined to disclose the exact address and terms of the Persado deal but the company’s website lists 50 West 17th Street as its New York location.
