Bonobos, an e-commerce men’s apparel brand, has signed a 1,500-square foot lease at 35 Crosby Street in Soho, it was announced today.

“This is a great location with many original details and a lot of character,” said Justin Fantasia, associate at RKF, who represented the tenant, in a prepared statement. “Bonobos will garner plenty of foot traffic while maintaining a destination feel off of the hustle and bustle of tourist-heavy Broadway.”

The Soho address will be the brand’s first New York street location, with the space split between 1,000 square feet on the ground floor and 500 square feet on the lower level.

The shop, scheduled to open May 15, will operate as a Guideshop—Bonobo’s sixth. Originally an online-only brand, Bonobos has introduced Guideshops which feature in-person service from a Bonobos Guide trained in fit and style.

Currently, Bonobos operates Guideshops in Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., San Francisco and at their New York City headquarters at 45 West 25th Street.

The seven-story building at 35 Crosby Street neighbors other menswear tenants including Saturday’s Surf NYC, Topshop and J.Crew Men’s Shop.

Beth Rosen, managing director at RKF represented the landlord, DAJ Realty LLC.
