reprintsThe Daten Group, a real estate development firm, has secured a $10 million construction loan to finish up the conversion of the landmarked former 84th police precinct in Brooklyn Heights. The loan was arranged by HKS Capital Partners for the condo conversion at 72 Poplar Street.
Founded by David Ennis, the Daten Group bought the spot in 2011 for $7.5 million. Mr. Ennis told The Commercial Observer that approvals from the New York City Department of Buildings and the Landmark Preservation Commission are “in process.”
HKS Capital Partners co-founder John Harrington said that Ennis and his team “comprise an experienced group of well-established developers who intend to take advantage of the high-end condo market for this area.”
