Retail brokers: Think your 2011 retail deals has the chops to compete for the best deal of the year?

The Real Estate Board of New York wants you to man up and submit your nominations for the group’s Retail Committee’s Deal of the Year Cocktail Party on Tuesday, June 14, from 5:30 p.m.

The three categories include:

  • The Most Creative Deal in Manhattan
  • The Retail Deal Which Most Significantly Benefits the Manhattan Retail Market (or as we call it, “The 2011 REBNY RDMSBRM”)
  • The Most Important and Creative Retail Deal in the Outer Boroughs

sallyfield1 387x300 And the REBNY Retail Deal of the Year Award Goes To...Submissions are due April 17th at 5:00 p.m., so get those nominations in, retail brokers. Remember, all contestants must be REBNY members, and all transactions must have been finished by December 31, 2011.

Last year’s Most Creative Retail Deal went to Robin Abrams and Howard Dolch of the Lansco Corporation for their work with Filene’s Basement and Syms Clothing at 530 Fifth Avenue.

RKF & Associates brokers Robert K. Futterman, Gary Alterman, and Ariel Schuster grabbed the  2010 REBNY RDMSBRM for their work with the Fairway Market at 240 East 86th Street.

Who will be this year’s winners?

Will it be the 39,000 square foot deal for REI at 303 Lafayette Street? Uniqlo at 666 Fifth Avenue?
