Second Time Around, the upscale consignment shop—and now star of Bravo’s new reality show Fashion Hunters—inked a lease for 1,200 square feet at 233 West 99th Street, The Commercial Observer learned exclusively. This location is the fifth for the vintage retailer, which operates 26 stores around the country. This most recent outpost, between 99th and 100th on Broadway, should bolster increased demand to the retailer’s new TV-star status. “It’s their first foray onto the West Side,” said Scott Galin, a principal at the Handler Real Estate Organization, who handled the deal for the tenant—but it might not be their last. “They are expanding quickly. The target for next year is probably another 10 stores,” and those will be principally in the New York City metro area, said Mr. Galin. He said the retailer is also close to inking deals for space in a couple of outer borough locations. Asking rent was $130. Dennis DePaula, of Orsid Realty, represented the landlord, 233 West 99th Street Inc., and Scott Galin and Peter Simel represented Second Time Around. Handler is Second Time Around’s national leasing agent. –Guelda Voien
