1133 Sixth Avenue
The home of the national debt clock has a new tenant, a law firm to the financial services industry.
Washington, D.C.-based BuckleySandler is moving its local home to 1133 Sixth Avenue. The lawyers have signed a 17,372-square-foot lease for nearly the entire 31st floor along with options for the remaining 5,000 feet, the New York Post reports.
Landlord the Durst Organization moved the clock to the building in 2004, a reminder to all who pass between West 43rd and 44th streets of the nation’s impending doom. The law firm will move from a less portentous home at 505 Fifth Avenue.
The landlord was represented in-house by Eric Engelhardt; the lawyers handled their side themselves.
