Ryan Simonetti
Co-founder and CEO at Convene Hospitality Group
Convene Hospitality Group (CHG) has gotten pretty big over the last few years, but Ryan Simonetti is still pushing the limits.
After consolidating Convene itself and its brands like Etc.venues and NeueHouse under the new holding company, CHG, in September of last year, Simonetti is planning to add locations fueled by the event venue and flex office firm’s in-house booking software.
The company in March 2026 secured $230 million from TPG following the acquisition of NeueHouse, a members-only workspace and social club, out of bankruptcy and a $20 million capitalization to relaunch the single-location brand.
“Within the CHG, the umbrella, you’ve got multiple brands, and that gives us the ability to continue to grow both organically and through other M&A opportunities as well,” Simonetti said. “Within the chassis of CHG is a global sales and marketing organization. … And the ability to design, build and operate these different brands from a hospitality perspective at a high level would be the second piece. Lastly, how do you do any of this without technology?”
New York-based CHG has a data infrastructure platform that brings inventory management, operational software, customer relations management and marketing operations together under one digital roof.
“For businesses like ours that have scale and a proprietary dataset, we’re really, really excited about what the next few years means for us from a technology perspective,” Simonetti said. “At the end of the day, we’re in the business of pricing, selling and monetizing inventory and experiences around that inventory. … A lot of what we’re focused on is how can we better price and Tetris that inventory?”
Ultimately, Simonetti said it’s about advancing CHG’s software to automate pairing clients with spaces and experiences that meet their needs so that CHG’s staff do what hospitality firms do best: hospitality.
