Dermatology Chain LaserAway Adds 15th NYC Location on the Upper East Side

Skin care, hair removal and body wellness services provider LaserAway is getting ready to open its 15th New York City location on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Commercial Observer has learned.
LaserAway signed a 10-year lease for 1,800 square feet on the ground floor of a mixed-use property at 242 East 86th Street, according to a source close to the deal. Asking rent was $165 per square foot.
The Yorkville property is owned by the LLC 244 East 86th Street, which is linked to Shore Assets, according to property records.
Michael Miller from the Shopping Center Group represented LaserAway in this deal, while Darrell Rubens and Richard Gelber from Newmark represented the landlord. Rubens and Gelber declined to comment, while Miller did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
LaserAway offers clients several services including laser hair removal, Botox injections, cool sculpting, facials, tattoo removal and micro-needling. The company already has an East Side location at 1430 Second Avenue, according to its website.
LaserAway’s other New York City locations include 118 Court Street in Brooklyn Heights, 35 East 19th Street in the Flatiron District, and 36-07 30th Avenue in Astoria, Queens. Other outposts are in Morningside Heights, the Meatpacking District, Tribeca and near Lincoln Center.
Located on East 86th Street between Second and Third avenues, 242 East 86th Street is a 55,158-square-foot, mid-rise mixed-use property. The building was constructed in 1920 and renovated in 2003, according to Loopnet.com.
