KLNB, a privately held CRE brokerage firm, has signed a five-year, 5,750-square-foot lease at 9881 Broken Land Parkway in Columbia, Md., with Abrams Development Group. KLNB will also act as the leasing agent for the full building.

The company moved from its former home of 16 years at 6011 University Boulevard.

“This is a well-located building for the Columbia office team,” Marc Menick, KLNB’s president, told Commercial Observer. “And it’s important to be the leasing agent for the twin buildings in the project. Being on-site is invaluable for our landlord, who is also our client.”

The new offices will feature three balconies, private offices for most brokers, a great deal of natural light and a fitness center.

“These newly upgraded offices showcase KLNB’s continued emphasis on the importance of building a culture that supports our team, so they can, in turn, provide the highest quality of service to our clients,” Menick said in a statement.

“We continue to grow in a natural, strategic and sustainable way,” he added. “It’s a model that continues to confidently propel us in the right direction and shows our clients that we’re a long-term partner that’s invested in their future. And for our team, they see a company that truly cares about professional growth and has their back — even during times of uncertainty.”

Additionally, KLNB has renovated its existing 10,529-square-foot office at 100 West Road in Towson, Md.

“The new Towson offices now match the new KLNB locations in D.C. and Virginia, and we’re now completely up to date with the kind of office environment and atmosphere that people want to work in, which is critical for employee recruitment and retainment,” Menick said.
