Extreme Department Store will open its third New York City location inside Concourse Plaza in the Bronx, landlord The Feil Organization announced.

The department store signed a 10-year lease for 15,003 square feet at the retail center at 214 East 161st Street, according to the landlord.

A spokesperson for the landlord did not provide the asking rent in the deal.

Extreme Department Store — which sells a variety of items, including clothing, furniture and toys — currently has another location in the Bronx and another in Queens.

The Feil Organization handled the deal in-house via Randall Briskin, while Gabriel Saff of Retail Zone represented Extreme Department Store. Saff did not respond to a request for comment.

“Getting a lease of this size signed within three months of the prior tenant vacating the space during the COVID-19 pandemic speaks volumes about the strength of the shopping center,” Briskin said in a statement. It’s unclear which store Extreme Department Store will replace.

The 311,650-square-foot Concourse Plaza was built in 1990. Other tenants include CVS, Bank of America, and Cajun seafood chain Hook & Reel, as well as anchor tenant The Food Bazaar.
