reprintsJob search website Indeed will open a second New York City office at 1155 Avenue of the Americas, across the street from its current one at 1120 Avenue of the Americas, in Midtown, Commercial Observer has learned.
Indeed signed a nine-year lease for 44,277 square feet on the entire ninth and tenth floors of the Durst Organization’s 41-story building between West 44th and West 45th Street, according to the landlord. Asking rent was $85 per square foot.
The company — which is co-headquartered in Austin and Stamford, Ct. — has leased 125,000 square feet in the Hippodrome Building at 1120 Avenue of the Americas since 2015, as CO previously reported. Indeed plans to move in to its new digs in the summer.
“We are thrilled Indeed is joining our community of innovators and entrepreneurs at 1155,” Jonathan “Jody” Durst, the president of The Durst Organization, said in a statement. “[The building’s] boutique floor plates, floor-to-ceiling windows at its chamfered corners and its proximity to Bryant Park makes it the ideal location for companies to grow, prosper and thrive.”
Durst handled the deal in-house via Tom Bow, Rocco Romeo and Tanya Grimaldo. CBRE (CBRE)’s Christopher Mansfield, Jeffrey Fischer, Sacha Zarba, John Nugent and Willis Trotsky represented Indeed. The CBRE brokers declined to comment through a spokeswoman.
Other tenants in the 790,000-square-foot 1155 Avenue of the Americas include law firm Perkins Coie, residential brokerage Keller Williams and accounting and advisory company BKD.
