The Feil Organization’s director of leasing operations, Nicholas Forelli, has left the developer to join RXR Realty’s leasing team, Commercial Observer has learned.

Forelli, 40, started at RXR on Oct. 7 where he’ll be a vice president of retail leasing reporting to Whitney Arcaro, the head of marketing and retail leasing for RXR, the company said.

“We are thrilled to welcome Nick to the RXR team and confident that his deep real estate expertise, industry relationships and market knowledge will serve us well as we continue to execute on our leasing strategies across the premier properties in our portfolio,” Arcaro said in a statement.

Forelli has spent the past six years at Feil, where he oversaw retail and office leasing in its 26 million-square-foot portfolio and lead the repositioning efforts at 488 Madison Avenue, where brands like Bonobos and UntuckIt opened retail spots.

His recent deals include a 9,600-square-foot lease with Goldfish Swim School in Feil’s Glen Oaks Shopping Center at 255-01 Union Turnpike in Queens in April and signing Mephisto Shoes to 1,854 square feet at 488 Madison Avenue in June, Real Estate Weekly reported.

At RXR, Forelli will be part of the firm’s retail leasing push in properties including 550 Madison Avenue, 470 Vanderbilt Avenue and 475 Clermont Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, according to RXR.

Forelli — who graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst — got his start in real estate working in investment sales at Massey Knakal Realty Services in 2004 and later worked for Welco Realty, Rosen Associates Management Corp. and Muss Development before joining Feil in 2013, according to his LinkedIn page.

A spokesman for Feil did not respond to a request for comment.
