reprintsQueens, New York-based For Five Coffee Roasters signed deals with Washington, D.C.-based real estate investment trust Carr Properties to open two new locations in Northern Virginia, according to a press release from Carr Properties.
The coffee roaster will open at 1800 Diagonal Road in Alexandria, Va., in October 2019 and 2311 Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, Va., in November 2019, per the release. It’s also opening a D.C. shop at 2000 L Street NW this fall, according to The Washington Business Journal, which first reported the new locations.
“We feel we bring best-in-class experience when it comes to specialty coffee,” For Five Coffee cofounder Stefanos Vouvoudakis, said in the release. “We believe that this partnership is the next step in progressing both our companies’ vision of hospitality experiences within the corporate environment.”
Carr Properties CEO Oliver Carr said in a prepared statement the partnership “will allow us to continue to offer our customers quality food and beverage options.”
A For Five Coffee spokesman did not return Commercial Observers request for comment regarding the lease terms and asking rent. It’s unclear if brokers were involved in the deal.
The locations will offer For Five Coffee’s speciality caffeinated drinks as well as “signature food options” for breakfast and lunch from Chef Scheyla Acosta, “in a relaxing atmosphere ideal for those looking to dine in,” per the release. For Five Coffee has plans to open other outposts in New York, Los Angeles, D.C., Virginia and Boston.
