Sephora will open two new stores in Washington, D.C. as part of its plan to launch 35 new locations in 32 cities across the United States in 2019, according to a press release from the cosmetics retailer.

While a Sephora spokeswoman would not give the exact addresses or leasing details for the locations, The Washington Business Journal reports that the company will open a 5,940-square-foot location in Downtown D.C. at 1050 Connecticut Avenue NW and another outpost at 1701 14th Street NW.

The Connecticut Avenue address is part of the Washington Square development that has existing retailers including My Eye Dr. and Lou Lou. The 14th Street location is part of the new seven-story Whitman-Walker Health System redevelopment project that will feature 78 market-rate and affordable rental apartments, 20,000 square feet of retail space and 60,000 square feet of office space, as Commercial Observer previously reported.

No other details were immediately available about Sephora’s forthcoming D.C. locations, which will join other outposts in the city at 1000 F Street NW, 3065 M Street NW and 380 7th Street SE. The press release also indicated a new store in Alexandria, Va., but did not provide the exact location.

Sephora’s 2019 expansion marks five years of “significant growth” for its brick and mortar offerings, according to the release. “At Sephora, we are constantly working to further enhance, personalize and simplify the omnichannel experience for our clients, so the connection between the physical and digital is virtually seamless and highly customized at every touchpoint,” Mary Beth Laughton, an executive vice president at Sephora, said in a prepared statement.

The rollout of new U.S. stores commenced with the opening of a New York location at Hudson Yards on March 14. Each new location will offer 13,300 beauty products from more than 200 brands, ranging from cosmetics and skincare to haircare and fragrance, per the release.
