Redfin Is Relocating Chantilly, Va. Office to Westfields Corporate Center

Relocating less than two miles away, real estate brokerage Redfin will lease 20,358 square feet of office space at 14155 Newbrook Drive in Chantilly, Va., according to a press release from NKF, which represented the landlord, RMR Group.
The deal closed in October, according to an NKF spokeswoman, who declined to disclose the length of the lease. The four-story 77,427-square-foot building, known as Newbrook II, is located in Westfields Corporate Center, where office rents run between $28 to $29 per square foot, the spokeswoman said.
Redfin is currently located at 4460 Brookfield Corporate Drive in Chantilly. The firm is relocating to expand and upgrade its space, according to the release, which notes that Redfin will occupy the entire third floor and has the opportunity to place its signage prominently on the building.
“We are thrilled to represent The RMR Group in this transaction, and to expand Redfin’s presence in the Chantilly submarket,” NKF’s Andy Klaff, said in a prepared statement. Jeff Tarae of NKF also represented the landlord, while Owen Rice of Hughes Marino and Neil Narcisenfeld from the Ezra Company represented Redfin in the transaction. Rice and Narcisenfeld declined to comment on the deal.
The building, which is currently undergoing renovations, is across the street from the newly developed Field at Commonwealth, a 28-acre mixed-use development that features a Wegmans grocery store, Cava Grill, Mellow Mushroom and other retailers.
Renovations to the building include the addition of a new shared conference facility, fitness center, common area upgrades and tenant lounge which will provide daily food options, per the release. The updates are slated to deliver in early 2019.
