Ad agency Giant Spoon is relocating from Little Italy to EQ Office’s 44 Wall Street in the Financial District, Commercial Observer can first report.

The marketing firm has leased 17,024 square feet on the entire third floor of the 24-story building between Nassau and William Streets, according to a press release from the landlord. Asking rents in the building range from the high $50s to the mid-$60s per square foot, and an EQ Office spokeswoman declined to comment on the length of the lease. The company will move from 176 Grand Street between Mulberry and Baxter Streets in early 2019, after EQ Office finishes building out Giant Spoon’s new space.

Brian Cohen and Corey Borg of Newmark (NMRK) Knight Frank handled the transaction for Giant Spoon. Equity Office was represented in-house by Scott Silverstein along with CBRE (CBRE)’S Adam Foster, Michael Rizzo, Zachary Price and Caroline Merck. Spokespeople for both brokerages didn’t immediately return requests for comment.

Giant Spoon co-Founder Trevor Guthrie said the 1920s office tower offered the company a “blank canvas so we can build the ideal environment for our team and the next great idea for our client partners.”

Silverstein said in a prepared statement: “We are thrilled to welcome Giant Spoon to our growing roster of creative tenants,” adding that the company “is widely regarded for producing work that is innovative and revolutionary, and the agency wanted an office environment that matched this bold spirit.”
