JLL (JLL) continues to build its health care services EXPERTISE in the Southwest with the addition of a five-member specialty brokerage team formerly of CBRE (CBRE), the firm announced earlier this week.
Four members came from the rival firm’s downtown location. Bryan Lewitt, the former practice leader of the Southern California Healthcare Services Group at CBRE, has been named a managing director. Chris Isola, previously a first vice president, was appointed an executive vice president. Julia Dardick will continue in her role as a client services specialist, and Kellie Hill—from CBRE’s Orange County office—will remain a senior associate at JLL as will Evan Lewitt, formerly of CBRE’s DTLA office.
The team began at JLL, with Hill stationed at the firm’s Orange County office at 4 Park Center in Irvine and the remaining four working at the brokerage’s downtown Los Angeles office at 515 South Flower Street on May 2.
“The expansion of our health care services team in the Southwest remains a big focus for JLL,” Peter Belisle, the market director for JLL Southwest, said in an official statement. “With health services continuing to evolve, our clients have increasingly been in need of strategic real estate services and guidance. Bryan and his team are the perfect complement to our existing team in the region. We will continue to make opportunistic hires in the Southwest, seeking experts who provide value to our clients and who embody our culture of ethics and integrity.”
The team’s major deals include representing the Motion Picture and Television Fund in the $14.3 million sale of a 24,850-square-foot medical facility at 4323 Riverside Drive in Burbank to Worchell Hollywood And Properties. They also handled the 12,635-square-foot lease for tenant UCLA Health at 2625 West Alameda Avenue in Burbank.
JLL’s Southwest health care services team provides brokerage, construction management, property management and investment sales services throughout Southern California and Phoenix, and Lewitt and his team are the latest additions to the firm’s expanding Southwest practice. Mari Lederman and Katie McIntyre joined the practice in JLL’s Phoenix office in late 2017. Additionally, JLL acquired Cleo Construction Management, a prominent construction project management services firm that specializes in medical facilities, a few years back.
CBRE declined to comment.
