Endurance Specialty Holdings has inked a 143,000-square-foot deal to take three floors at 1221 Avenue of the Americas, landlord Rockefeller Group announced in a press release provided to Commercial Observer.

The insurance company will immediately take the 18th and 19th floors of the 51-story building between West 48th and West 49th Streets, according to the release. It will assume the 47,245-square-foot 17th floor in early 2021.

Neither the asking rent nor the length of the deal was immediately available, but a spokesman for the landlord said it was “long term.”

Ed Guiltinan of Rockefeller Group represented the landlord in-house, while Dana Pike of George Comfort & Sons represented Endurance. A spokeswoman for the tenant’s broker did not immediately return a request for comment.

“We are thrilled to add Endurance to the impressive and diverse tenant roster at 1221,” Guiltinan said in prepared remarks. “Avenue of the Americas has long-been recognized as an international address, and we are pleased that the building continues to be a location of choice for leading global businesses across multiple sectors, from financial services, professional services and insurance, to media and entertainment.”

Endurance is moving from SL Green Realty Corp.’s 750 Third Avenue between East 46th and East 47th Streets, according to its website. The insurance company occupies 63,474 square feet in a sublease running through January 2021, according to CoStar Group.
