Actovia: The Bronx Sees CRE Transaction Activity Increase in June


The total amount of commercial mortgages filed with the New York Department of Finance saw a slight bump in June to 1,263 from 1,251 a month before, according to data provided to Commercial Observer from Actovia. The Bronx in particular saw a spike in activity, with 232 financings in June up from 162 in May. The number of loans on multifamily and co-op properties increased to 624 from 610, while the number of financings on retail, office, industrial and healthcare properties contracted. On the other hand, mortgages on commercial condominiums jumped to 44 from 17, and loans on vacant lots went up to 96 from 78.
