Forest City Ratner’s Director of Retail, Kathryn Welch, Leaving the Company

After more than 30 years, Kathryn Welch is leaving Forest City Ratner Companies as of this Saturday, she said in an email blast with her updated contact information. It wasn’t immediately clear where she is headed.

As the executive vice president and director of retail at the company for the last four and a half years, Welch has been “responsible for New York operating portfolio which includes Atlantic Center, Atlantic Terminal, EastRiver Plaza and 14 other projects throughout New York City,” according to her LinkedIn profile. “Also spearheading Ridge Hill development in Westchester County and responsible for all site acquisitions and project renovations in New York City.”

For the 26 years prior, Welch was Forest City’s leasing representative for numerous retail projects including Short Pump Town Center in Richmond, Va., Ballston Common in Arlington, Va., The Village at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla.

Neither Welch nor a spokeswoman for Forest City Ratner Companies, the Brooklyn-based subsidiary of Forest City Realty Trust, immediately responded to a request for comment.
