Shoe-maker Nine West has signed a pair of subleases for its space in 1411 Broadway between West 40th and West 39th Streets.
Basic Resources, which manufacturers and merchandisers underwear, loungewear and legwear, took the entire second floor and part of the third with a 57,280-square-foot lease in the 40-story building, as The New York Post first reported. The firm will be moving from 31 West 34th Street.
Also, Authentic Brands Group, which is moving from 100 West 33rd Street, subleased 45,000 square feet of space on the fourth floor. The terms of the two leases were not immediately available.
Michael Beyda of Benchmark Properties represented both tenants, while Nine West was represented by a JLL team of Clark Finney, Frank Doyle, Amanda Bokman, David Kleiner and Kevin West.
Mr. Beyda did not respond to multiple requests for comment on the deal. The JLL team was not immediately available for comment.
In June, Republic Clothing Group signed a sublease with Nine West for 55,500 square feet on the 34th and 35th floors in the building, which is owned by Ivanhoé Cambridge and The Swig Company.
Fila USA, an Italian sportswear company, signed a 10-year lease in February to relocate its North American headquarters to a 25,000-square-foot space on the 30th floor of 1411 Broadway, as Commercial Observer reported at that time. Also, Manhattan Beachwear renewed its lease and took additional space in the building in March. Levi Strauss & Co. is also a tenant in the building.
In November of 2012, Ivanhoé Cambridge, a real estate subsidiary of institutional fund manager Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, acquired a 49.9 percent ownership interest in the building for more than $360 million.
