Fantasy sports site DraftKings has inked a deal for new office space at 400 Lafayette Street, in one of two leases signed this week at the building.

The Boston-based company is taking about 23,500 square feet in a five-year lease, according to landlord’s broker ABS Partners Real Estate. DraftKings will be on the fifth floor, according to The Real Deal, which first reported news of the deal.

Asking rent for the deal was $69 per square foot, ABS told Commercial Observer. DraftKings is planning to move into the building at the corner of East Fourth Street within a week.

Greg Wang, Joe Perlson and Eric Cagner of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented DraftKings in the lease. Jay Caseley, Joseph LaRosa and Charles Conwell of ABS represented landlord Sand Associates. Mr. Wang did not immediately return a call for comment.

That’s not the biggest lease that’s recently signed at 400 Lafayette Street. SeatGeek, a ticket search engine, is relocating to more than 27,000 square feet (the whole fourth floor) from 235 Park Avenue South between East 19th and East 20th Streets, ABS confirmed. Asking rent in that deal was $67 per square foot.

Jack Petrie and Eva Shih of Office Lease Center represented SeatGeek, while the ABS team again represented the landlord. Mr. Petrie did not immediately return a call for comment.

“Generally speaking, we’re pleased to have a new generation” in the building, Mr. Caseley told CO. He added that the landlord is “welcoming these kind of new tenants.”
