Smarsh, Inc., the Portland, Ore.-based tech company that delivers cloud-based archiving solutions for information-driven enterprises, is moving to 110 William Street.

According to a spokeswoman for Savanna, the New York-based real estate private equity and asset management firm that owns the property, Smarsh will occupy roughly 4,475 square feet on the 18th floor of the property. The company signed a seven year lease.

Hal Stein, Todd Stracci and Travis Wilson of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented Savanna. Kyle J. Ciminelli and Alex P. Leopold of NGKF represented the tenant in negotiations. Asking rents were not immediately available; however, a deal at the building completed last October had asking rents in the mid-$40s per square foot.

Founded in 2001, Smarsh’s platform provides a unified compliance and e-discovery workflow across the entire range of digital communications, including email, public and enterprise social media, websites, instant messaging and mobile messaging. The company also has a presence in Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles and London.

In 2014, Commercial Observer reported that Savanna acquired the 32-story 110 William Street in a joint venture with KBS Capital Advisors for $261.1 million. The building was purchased from Swig Equities and the Dubai Investment Group.
