Century Management Services and tech-savvy real estate startup Urban Compass have formed an exclusive partnership where the co-op and condo building management mainstay will recommend that prospective apartment sellers make use of the startup’s sophisticated online platform and neighborhood research starting on Aug. 1, the two companies announced yesterday.

The collaboration will turn over many of the listings from the property management company’s vast 80-building, 10,000-unit portfolio to the full-service online apartment search service that launched in May 2013, said Mitchell Barry, the president of Century Management.

“Urban Compass is a forward-thinking real estate company that shares our vision for what it takes to succeed in today’s real estate market,” Mr. Barry said in a prepared statement. “We look forward to working with their agents and managers who have a proven track record in the business, as well as integrating even more technology into our updated website.”

Under the arrangement, top Urban Compass agents will work with Century Management personnel to streamline all resident processes, from leasing to co-op board administration matters.

“Century Management and Urban Compass have a shared mission to deliver the best service and experience to our clients,” said Gordon Golub, chief residential real estate officer at Urban Compass, in a prepared statement. “Like Urban Compass, Century is also committed to a strong online presence, which makes our relationship a natural fit as we continue to grow as a firm.”
