Eastern Consolidated is marketing a prime Tribeca retail space at 106 Reade Street, Commercial Observer has learned.
The building boasts 1,500 square feet of ground-floor space, 200 square feet of mezzanine space and 20 feet of sidewalk frontage. The space also features 16-foot tin ceilings and exposed brick walls.
“It’s really hard, in my opinion, to find space on these classic blocks with cobblestone streets. You walk in there and it’s like you’ve stepped into the past, it’s beautiful,” said James Famularo, a senior director of the retail leasing division for Eastern Consolidated.
The retail unit, currently occupied by pet store Canis Minor, will become available on June 1. The space is being offered on a five- or 10-year term with asking rent of $130 per square foot.
Mr. Famularo described the space as ideal for children’s clothing store or learning center because it is located on what he said has become a “kid-centric” block, with Reade Street Prep and Gymboree located nearby.
“The Reade Street building is a prime retail property that is suited for nearly any type of retail tenant, but ideal for a children’s boutique, learning center, or any child-related business,” Mr. Famularo added in a prepared statement. “Tribeca continues to be one of Manhattan’s most exclusive neighborhoods and you don’t see many opportunities like this come to market here.”
Mr. Famularo exclusively represents the property along with Ravi Idnani, an associate director.
