reprintsMetropolitan Valuation Services, a commercial real estate valuation and consulting firm, has expanded its headquarters in New York.
The firm, which had recently relocated from 444 Park Avenue, will be expanding its presence at 44 East 32nd Street off of Park Avenue in Midtown. The new lease, set for 15 years, will double their office space from 3,600 square feet at its former office to 7,200 square feet at the new building.
“With no opportunity to grow our professional staff at the previous location, we chose to remain and expand in this vibrant Midtown South business neighborhood as it undergoes intense development and repositioning,” said Steven Schleider, president of Metropolitan Valuation Services.
The new office will span the entire floor and offers several windowed private offices, an open work area, large conference room, pantry break rooms, and a comfortable lounge. Mr. Schleider said he regarded the expansion deal as a “rebranding of our space and business as we move to the next level of growth.”
Senior managing director Roy Lapidus handled the lease for Metropolitan Valuation Services. The broker for the landlord, Bassett Properties LP, was not disclosed.
The landlord had previously renovated and upgraded the lobby, adding upscale natural elements of stone and wood design in addition to mechanical and life-safety systems.
Metropolitan Valuation Services will be the latest in a list of new tenants in the building, including Sandmark Realty, a tenant-side commercial real estate brokerage firm and FTL Design Engineering Studio, an engineering firm.
