reprintsThe 257,000 square foot building at 183 Madison will be the New York home to the California-based Rubicon Project.
The Rubicon Project is one the leading advertising technology companies in the world. Its program and platforms connect buyers and sellers through a real time trading marketplace with a transaction volume upwards of 120 billion.
“The move was part of a large expansion in New York,” Nick Hulse, cheif revenue officer, noted on the move, “We’ve added hundreds of new customers, primarily on the east coast. We needed an office space to accommodate our growing team that is focused on servicing all our regional customers.”
The firm will move from its current office at 106 Seventh Avenue to a 4,706 square foot space on the 14th floor of the building of 183 Madison Avenue.
“We chose this building because it is on Madison Ave, the hub for the digital media industry,” Mr. Hulse further noted, “The neighborhood brings us closer to our customers and partners.”
The lease was set for five years.
Ed Wartels of Cresa, one of the brokers that represented the Rubicon Project, noted that the owners of the building recently changed and is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation that also attracted the tenants to the building. Mr. Wartels was joined by Brian Davies on the tenant side, and Harry Blair and Sean Kearns of Cushman & Wakefield (CWK) represented the landlord, Rigby 183 LLC.
