Aerosole Renews Original City Spot in Chrysler Building

Nothing says spring like a pair of Aerosole loafers with a skirt. Or as Newmark Knight Frank‘s Jason Pruger put it: “Women used to sneakers can wear the suit and the Aerosoles.”

To wit, the shoe brand is renewing its first New York City location in the iconic Chrysler Building for another 10 years. Aerosole moved into the roughly 1,300-square-foot space in the foot of the tower roughly a decade ago and its lease expired at the end of this year. But the tenant saw an opportunity to lock in a deal early.

“With its close proximity to Grand Central and dense office population of many female workers,” Mr. Pruger said, apparently reading from a brochure, it’s the perfect location for selling “chic shoes.” He added: “They love the spot. They love being a part of an iconic building.”
