JDK Design, the boutique design and branding company that counts the Bonnaroo Festival and the jam band Phish as their clients, has moved from its ultra-hip nook on Spring Street out into the open–on a swath of Broadway just around the corner.
The New York City-based firm last week inked a 6,980-square-foot, full-floor deal at 490 Broadway that will place it within blocks of clothing companies Yellow Rat Bastard and J. Crew for the next 10 years, CB Richard Ellis brokers told The Observer. The company recently outgrew its offices on 75 Spring Street, where it had occupied 6,400 square feet.
San Seiler and Barry Finkelman of CB Richard Ellis represented JDK Design in the transaction while Eric Cagner of Newmark Knight Frank represented the landlord, a limited liability company.
As for the uptown market, CB Richard Ellis brokers also handled a five-year lease for Edgerock Realty Advisors, which will occupy 3,500 square feet at 410 Park Avenue. The realty firm originally leased space at 825 Third Avenue, according to the brokers. Mr. Seiler and Ben Friedland of CBRE represented Edgerock, while Barry Zeller and Andrew Ross of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord.
