The Meridian Capital Group has hired Robert Beni Jr. as a vice president in its Commercial Originations Group, it was announced last week.
Mr. Beni (pictured), who analyzed loan applications, sponsors and collateral at Amboy Bank, Mezz Cap and Prudential Financial, will be supporting the origination and underwriting efforts of the firm’s Commercial Originations Group nationally.
He will be reporting to the group’s senior managing director, Marty Lanigan, and it’s managing director, Chad Johnson.
“Bob’s strong background as a credit and deal management professional will be of tremendous value in helping us to more effectively manage our growing commercial and institutional mortgage finance activities,” said Mr. Lanigan in a statement. “As Meridian continues to expand its mortgage banking and financial platform, talent like Bob’s will be crucial.”
