Cassidy Turley’s New Chief Marketing Officer and Other Recent Moves

Cassidy Turley has hired Gayle Matthei-Meredith as its chief marketing officer, it was announced earlier this month.

Ms. Matthei-Meredith, a 20-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry who most recently served as vice president of corporate marketing and communications at Grubb & Ellis, will be responsible for marketing and public relations at the firm.

Jones Lang LaSalle has promoted Ruby Hwang, a longtime vice president at the Chicago-based firm, to senior vice president, it was announced last week.

Ms. Hwang, 31, will continue to head up strategic real estate advisory services and execution support, with a primary focus on leasing and development transactions in the New York metropolitan region, according to a release.

Grubb & Ellis has hired David Stack as a vice president of the firm’s project management division and Karl Albert as a vice president of the firm’s multi-housing group, it was announced last week.

Mr. Stack, a 23-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry who most recently worked at Jones Lang LaSalle, will oversee construction assignments while managing the build-out of space. He will be based in Dallas.

Mr. Albert, who previously served in commercial finance positions at Integrated Commercial Capital, will represent the buyers and sellers of multi-housing properties throughout Arizona. He will be based in the firm’s Phoenix offices.

Marcus & Millichap has promoted longtime sales broker Alan Pontius to national director of commercial leased investment properties, it was announced.

Mr. Pontius, who will retain his position as national director of the National Office and Industrial Properties Group, will now be responsible for overseeing all of the firm’s commercial leased investment property divisions. He will work out of the company’s San Francisco office, according to a release.

“Our national specialty groups, which focus on each major property sector, are set up to deliver optimum services to our clients while developing the skills, tools and communication of our investment professionals,” said Marcus & Millichap’s president, John Kerin, in a statement. “Al is uniquely qualified to continue our expansion and rapid growth in the commercial leased investment arena, given his extensive background as a successful agent, manager and senior executive with the firm and his relationships with major investors nationally.”
