365 bridge street property shark Feds’ Administrative Wing Takes 10 Years at BellTel Lofts

The U.S. General Services Administration signed a 10-year lease for 12,000 square feet at 365 Bridge Street in Brooklyn. The space, on the ground floor of BellTel Lofts, will operate as a day care for 76 children of federal employees. Rent is between $60 and $70 per square foot.

Two thousand square feet of retail space and 20,000 square feet in the basement are still unleased. The developer Clipper Equity originally wanted a high-end retailer, such as Trader Joe’s, to occupy the space, but was more flexible in the downturn. It still hopes to draw such a retailer for the remaining space.

Robert Hebron of Ingram & Hebron Realty Inc. represented the landlord, Clipper Equity. Scott Elgart represented the tenant in-house.

Crain’s reported the lease on April 2.
