Biotechnology company Enzo Biochem Inc. has expanded into 11,300 square feet, taking the entire ninth floor at Mitsui Fudosan‘s 527 Madison Avenue.’

Greg Taubin, senior managing director at Studley, represented Enzo Biochem. He previously negotiated the company’s 4,100-square-foot expansion at 527 Madison in the late 1990s.

“Enzo Biochem wanted to control the balance of the floor while extending its existing lease,” Mr. Taubin said. “Since the company doesn’t need to occupy the space immediately, we secured sublet rights in the lease, arranging for the existing tenant, Harvest Management, to remain in place and become our subtenant on a short-term sublease.”

Jim Frederick and Peter Occhi of Cassidy Turley represented the landlord. Kristie King of Greenberg Traurig was the attorney for the tenant, and Carlo Caffuzzi was the attorney for the landlord.
