2parkave Elk Hunts

The Hartford insurance firm, which fled Lower Manhattan following Sept. 11 for midtown south, ending up in about 145,000 square feet at Morgan Stanley (MS)’s 2 Park Avenue, is again looking for office space, though this time at a far more leisurely pace.

The Hartford, as the insurance company is now known, has hired tenant rep specialists at CresaPartners to locate about 125,000 square feet of office space in Manhattan, in anticipation of a lease that expires in a couple of years, according to industry sources.

Neither CresaPartners executive vice president and principal Robert Stella, who is representing the firm along with principal Marcus Rayner and senior vice president Jack Petrie, nor Shannon Lapierre, a spokeswoman for Hartford, would comment for this story.
