His reputation for money troubles notwithstanding, Joe Moinian has managed to hold on to a marquee tenant.
The Dolan family’s Cablevision has renewed for seven years the entire sixth and 17th floors, totaling nearly 45,000 square feet, at Mr. Moinian’s 26-story 530 Fifth Avenue.
The Bethpage, Long Island–based Cablevision, which owns the Knicks and Newsday, uses the Fifth Avenue space to house advertising teams.
Howard Kesseler, of Newmark Knight Frank, represented Mr. Moinian in talks with Cushman & Wakefield’s Andy Behymer, who represented Cablevision.
A Cablevision spokeswoman said the firm has a policy of not commenting on real estate decisions.
