Italian furniture giant Natuzzi recently celebrated the opening of its flagship store on Madison Avenue. The more than 4,000-square-foot location is the second store for Natuzzi in New York City.

“I am particularly proud to announce the opening of our new flagship store in New York at the prestigious location of Madison Avenue,” Pasquale Natuzzi, the president and chief executive officer of Natuzzi S.P.A., said in a prepared statement.

“Our global expansion started from the U.S.A. in the ’80s, and our company was listed in 1993. With the opening of our second store in New York adding to the already existing 60 Natuzzi Italia points of sale in North America, we intend to reinforce that special feeling that has been linking our brand to American consumers.”

The Madison Avenue Natuzzi store is close to architectural firms and textile manufacturers. In early 2013, Mumbai-based textile manufacturer Alok Industries signed a deal for 17,600 square feet in the same building. Natuzzi also operates a store on Greene Street in Soho. That smaller shop offers Wi-Fi to its trendy and tech-savvy customers. The company has not yet announced if the flagship store will offer Wi-Fi.
