“Manhattan West is a vital mixed-use real estate development and the redeveloped 450 West 33rd Street gives the urban campus even greater depth and diversity,” said Dennis Friedrich, the chief executive of Brookfield Office, in a statement. “The building’s unique mix of high ceilings and large, open floorplates are especially attractive to companies seeking this type of collaborative, ‘loft-like’ space.”

The 1.8-million-square-foot building, to be rechristened Five Manhattan West, was acquired by Brookfield in 2001 and will be integrated into the company’s Manhattan West development.

The architecture firm REX designed the renovations to the property. Cushman & Wakefield (CWK)’s Bruce Mosler and Josh Kuriloff are the exclusive listing agents for office space at the property.
