Diversity & Inclusion Forum: Accelerating Change
2020 was an exceptionally difficult year for our country. In the midst of a global pandemic, people across the nation flooded the streets in protest of police brutality and systemic racism. But November brought a new spark of hope – Kamala Harris became the first Black person, first South Asian American and the first woman to be announced as Vice President-elect of the United States, embodying the future of a country that is growing more racially diverse. Perhaps the one true benefit of 2020 is that it has forced a cultural reckoning. Businesses across all industries have since taken a serious look inward at their diversity and inclusion policies and the results are clear and unanimous: we are in need of meaningful, long-lasting change and it cannot wait another day. Join Commercial Observer for an industry-wide movement for change at the 2021 Diversity & Inclusion Forum, an interactive virtual event promoting a candid and honest dialogue around the challenges faced by minorities and women in the commercial real estate industry. The Forum will include shared experiences and exclusive case study-driven panel discussions. Hear how leading women and BIPOC have forged a path to advancement in their careers, learn about the data-backed strategies and business models that are working to increase diversity across industries, and understand the steps that need to be taken now to ensure a more diverse, equitable, sustainable and innovative workforce.
