Senior leasing associate at Sage Realty
Sage Realty’s Jack Brennan is leasing up a storm in the legal world.
Just this year, Brennan helped commercial and business law firm Dewey Pegno & Kramarsky relocate within 777 Third Avenue to 13,104 square feet across the 29th floor, and white-collar criminal defense law firm Spears & Imes take 7,816 square feet at 767 Third Avenue.
And that’s just counting the legal eagles. Brennan also had a hand in builder Alexander Wolf & Son Construction taking 8,896 square feet at 747 Third Avenue, recruiting firm Sheffield Haworth’s 7,901-square-foot space at 777 Third Avenue, and real estate and life sciences investor Innovatus Capital Partners’ decision to stick with its 7,383 square feet at that same building.
In total, Brennan has closed 240,000 square feet this year, including his very first retail deal for Serafina at 777 Third Avenue.
Brennan, who grew up in Rockland County, N.Y., said he’s always admired New York City from afar and dove into commercial real estate as an analyst for JLL after attending Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania. Despite commercial real estate’s recent economic turbulence, Brennan has a positive outlook on the industry.
“I’m optimistic for the future and I can already see it — the streets are getting busier, people are going back to work,” Brennan said. “We’ll have to see how [the economy] goes and see what happens with our elected officials and what policies are put in place, but I’m optimistic.”
Although it was not an office deal, Brennan brokered his own lease for an apartment in Hoboken after the pandemic hit, and loves the short commute and cheaper rents, he said. When not at home or at work, Brennan enjoys getting outside in snow or sun by skiing or hitting the beach. —C.Y.
