Jordan Karp, 29
CEO and founder at Jordan Karp LLC
For those who follow South Florida real estate, the name “Karp” should mean something.
We don’t mean Kobi Karp (although, if you’re not familiar with the architect and designer, we’d argue you’re not familiar with Miami Beach, Palm Beach or Brickell). No, we’re talking about his son, Jordan.
Since starting his eponymous brokerage in 2023, Jordan Karp has been on a tear. He’s sold James Curnin’s waterfront mansion on La Gorce Island for $60 million; he sold a 2-acre assemblage in Wynwood for $54 million; he sold a 52 percent stake in the Moxy Miami Wynwood hotel to the Süzer Group for $99 million. He’s done deals with hotelier Alan Faena, developer Robert Rivani, and the Qatari royal family. He sold former Miami Mayor Francis Suarez his new house.
“In the beginning of 2022, I was really working in investing for Kobi,” Karp said. He was making investments on his father’s behalf, and brokering for others was “kind of a side hustle.”
But he was also learning the nuts and bolts of the business: the inspections, the contracts, and the balance sheets that needed to be mastered. (Karp graduated from Tufts University and has a master’s degree in real estate from Columbia.)
In 2023, Karp dedicated himself fully to his own business.
“It’s grown so much,” Karp said. “In 2023, we did $110 million in sales. In 2024, we did $125 million in sales. In 2025, I did $230 million in sales. This year — from Q1 to Q2 — we did roughly $300 million in sales.”
That’s a shockingly good start to a year for a firm that — despite Karp’s usage of the word “we” — is still largely a one-man show.
Karp has understood the way the game is played today: He spends a lot of time tracking down deals and clients online and on social media. (He has been told by admirers of his online activities that they “love your content,” and then go to the next step of hiring him in real life.)
Among the swirl of different deals, one has to ask Karp if he has a favorite child.
“My favorite deal?” Karp said. “My next one.”
