Serena Boardman
Senior global real estate adviser at Sotheby’s International Realty

Sotheby’s is a name synonymous with luxury real estate in New York and much of the rest of the United States, and those are exactly the types of listings storied broker Serena Boardman has focused on over the course of her two-decade career.
Boardman has made a name for herself selling penthouses, townhomes and co-ops with addresses along some of Manhattan’s most prestigious streets, including Park Avenue, Central Park South, Central Park West and Fifth Avenue.
She is consistently one of the firm’s top-performing brokers, having represented clients in more than $5 billion in closed sales across Manhattan, regularly setting sales records for luxury properties. These include selling the penthouse at 960 Fifth Avenue for $70 million, an apartment at 740 Park Avenue for $71.3 million, and a co-op unit at 834 Fifth Avenue for $77.5 million.
Boardman made several marquee sales throughout 2024, including the $56 million sale of the historic townhouse at 4 East 79th Street. The Gilded Age-era home was part of the estate of business magnate Aso Tavitian, who died in 2020, and was also the scene of the murder of wealthy widow Elizabeth Nichols in 1915. Boardman secured this sale — to an unnamed buyer — alongside Sotheby’s Susan Baker.
Boardman finished 2024 as one of the nation’s top-producing residential brokers, having secured $403 million in total sales volume, according to Real Trends. And she could end up hitting that figure again for 2025. Boardman has posted several homes for sale on her Instagram this year, with price tags ranging from $4 million to $20 million.
