Sandeep Ahuja
CEO and co-founder at Cove
Addressing the technology needs in the architecture and design field is a growing yet still relatively rare pursuit. Cove, an AI-powered proptech platform, is one of the startups making headway in the sector.
Sandeep Ahuja, Cove’s co-founder, leads the Atlanta-based company, which uses proprietary technology called Vitras.ai. Designed specifically for architects, the technology automates zoning studies, cost estimation, energy benchmarking and climate analysis to enhance project management, decision-making and creativity in building design.
Cove has experienced significant growth, increasing revenue by more than 400 percent and nearing $5 million in revenue since starting in June 2025, said Ahuja. Venture-backed and heavily invested in research and development, the company is not yet profitable, but is thriving, she added.
“We’re a full-service architecture firm,” Ahuja told Commercial Observer in August 2025. “And we’re the world’s first AI-powered architecture firm. There’s literally no one else that does this.”
Having invested $25 million over the last decade in creating its Vitras.ai, Cove exited stealth mode earlier this year with total funding of $37 million, said Ahuja. All the funding came from generalist VCs, she added.
“We’re bringing architecture into 2025 and onwards,” said Ahuja, an architect and technologist who graduated from Georgia Tech and remained in Atlanta to found her company. “What that means is significantly improved coordination and higher quality, along with our ability to maximize performance pro forma internal rates of returns and do it all significantly faster.”
As for Ahuja and Cove’s future plans: “We’re looking to continue to be able to impact the multifamily space,” she said. “There’s just so much going on, and we would love to continue to partner with developers to deliver high-quality designs faster to give them more value.”
