MRI Software is on a long-term mission to be the global operating platform for proptech, and Patrick Ghilani and John Ensign, who together run the Solon, Ohio-based company, are indeed leading the way. Simply put, MRI is one of the giants of the field.
Known for its highly acquisitive strategy in building its tech platform, MRI continued to grow, too, in 2025, said Ghilani.
“When I look at the last year, I think that it further aligns with our company’s mission of being the platform operating system for proptech across multiple countries,” he said. “That mission, which has always been our differentiator, is getting an amazing boost from the evolution of technology and, specifically, in the AI arena.
“One of the ways that MRI is able to navigate the constantly changing and dynamic real estate world is that we have a diverse portfolio of assets that we manage, a portfolio of solutions that we have available, and we are able to continue to see growth and find growth in a constantly changing market.”
The last year has seen MRI grow internationally, particularly in Asia. That included the acquisition in June of Anacle, a Singapore-based property and facilities management solutions provider.
“It’s one of our growth strategies,” said Ensign. “We go into markets and are able to deliver something truly differentiated. Asia in particular is a market we’ve served for more than 25 years. … We are able to now bring an entire suite of differentiated solutions that MRI had, not only into that region, but take some of the great technology they have and bring it to our clients. As we acquire, our ability to take these great ideas that are serving real estate from around the world and bring them together is something that really makes us unique.”
In October 2025, MRI announced the opening of its new office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, reinforcing its commitment to one of the world’s fastest-growing property markets. Building on its established presence in Dubai since 2002, MRI serves hundreds of operators in the Middle East with AI-powered, open and connected technology designed to drive innovation and support growth.
