Lia Barsanti, 27
Vice president at PCCP
Lia Barsanti joined PCCP in 2020 after spending several years as an analyst at UBS. Given the timing — beginning with the fallout from the pandemic and then the slow slog out of it — her three years at PCCP have exposed the Georgetown University business administration graduate to a flurry of activity.
“The whirlwind of transaction volume immediately following the pandemic allowed me to see a lot of deal flow relatively early on in my career, and learn quickly,” said Barsanti.
Having grown up in a family with real estate connections, Barsanti found that the industry combined her most fervent interests. “Real estate finance combined my natural interest in real estate with the opportunity to use an analytical skill set and form connections with others, as it is such a people business,” she said.
At PCCP, Barsanti originates debt and equity transactions, and manages a team of analysts.
Significant projects she has worked on include the mixed-use, three-building District at 15fifteen in Parsippany, N.J., which PCCP developed in a joint venture with Stanbery Development Group and Claremont Development. The complex will feature high-end local retailers, full- and quick-
service restaurants, boutique fitness and specialty services, and a luxury apartment community.
“When complete, the development will include 498 [residential] units with 59,000 square feet of retail, an 850-space parking deck, and a town center concept,” said Barsanti, who noted that the deal was a valuable primer on “the importance of clear communication, both internally and with our equity partners, on a complex transaction that evolved over time.”
