Michael Zaremski has risen through the ranks of Berkadia since joining as an analyst in 2011.
Nine years on, the senior director is a lead in originating or sourcing financing solutions at the massive firm, deploying Berkadia’s lending products to meet the needs of his clients, or sourcing through life insurance companies, traditional bank financings, debt funds and alternative lenders, and CMBS products.
Based out of New York, Zaremski’s work traverses the country and covers all property types, from such deals as a $120 million refinance of a 917-unit multifamily project in Queens to a $150 million revolving credit facility for multifamily, mixed-use and standalone retail assets in New Jersey.
An expert in agency financing, CMBS and bridge products, Zaremski graduated from Indiana University in 2009, during what was, of course, an interesting time in the world of finance, to say the least. He had earlier been exposed to real estate finance as a CMBS intern at Merrill Lynch in 2007.
Later, in the course of his professional life, Zaremski earned certificates in real estate finance and investment from New York University to add to his ever-evolving and impressive resume.
