Turner School, a continuing education provider specializing in commercial and industrial building operations and management, has renewed its 8,300-square-foot lease at the Feil Organization’s 145 West 30th Street in Midtown South, according to the landlord.

This is a “long-term lease” with an asking rent of $55 per square foot, a Feil spokesperson told Commercial Observer. Turner has been a tenant at the 12-story, loft-style commercial office building in Midtown Manhattan since 2008. The school will continue to occupy the entire sixth floor of the property.

“We’re excited to continue our relationship with the Feil Organization at 145 West 30th Street,” Thomas Carney, chief operating officer at Turner School, said in a statement. “Our full-floor space and central location allow us to continue serving our students and supporting our programs.”

Founded in 1945, Turner School offers training in courses such as industrial refrigeration and air conditioning, according to its website. Courses can help students earn licenses leading to careers as watch engineers or property managers.

The Feil Organization was represented in-house by Andrew Wiener, while Turner School was represented by Jordan Weiss from Savills. Weiss did not immediately respond to CO’s request for comment.

“Turner School’s decision to renew early reflects the continued appeal of 145 West 30th Street and the value that full-floor spaces can provide to our tenants,” Wiener said in a statement. “Our ability to structure the renewal around Turner School’s needs gives them the flexibility to make their own improvements while remaining in a space that has supported their operations for years.”

145 West 30th Street is near the Penn Plaza commercial district, just south of Madison Square Garden and Pennsylvania Station. The building is home to Wave Sports & Entertainment, the Department of Motor Vehicles License Express, and nonprofit organization the InterAgency Council of Developmental Disabilities Agencies.
