Walmart has signed an industrial lease in Miami-Dade County, likely spanning more than 130,000 square feet.
The retail giant inked a deal at Seagis Property Group’s newly completed warehouse at 10900 Northwest 138th Street in Medley, facing West Okeechobee Road near the Florida Turnpike, property records show. The 16-year lease includes three five-year extensions.
Public documents suggest the tenant will occupy the entire 130,150-square-foot property, which rises 40 feet tall and includes two drive-in doors and 46 dock-high doors. A spokesperson for Walmart declined to comment. A representative for the landlord did not respond to requests for comment.
Seagis Property Group completed the warehouse this year after buying the 13.2-acre site for $17.5 million in 2022.
In another recent South Florida deal, Bentonville, Ark.-based Walmart bought a 24-acre parcel in Palm Beach County for $11.7 million in August to build a superstore. Walmart also renewed its 83,342-square-foot industrial lease at 1981 North Powerline Road in Pompano Beach late last year, according to a market report from Cushman & Wakefield.
