Vincent (Vinny) Grippo is the Senior Vice President for Real Estate and Facilities at Northwell Health, a role to which he was named in 2024. Northwell Health is the largest health system in
New York State and includes properties across 5 states including New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Florida. The real estate portfolio includes approximately 1000 ambulatory sites and 28 hospitals.
 
Vinny came to Northwell in 2022, after a 20-year career working for the City of New York in various capacities managing budget, facilities, technology, procurement, strategic planning,
project management and human resources.

He worked with the New York City Police (NYPD) department for nine years, during which he
served as the deputy commissioner of management and budget, overseeing the NYPD’s $5 billion budget and 240 police facilities. His tenure included the launch of a comprehensive program to renovate and restore NYPD Precincts and the acquisition of over $300M in safety equipment to improve officer safety and enhance police response to various specialized deployments including active shooter scenarios, mass casualty incidents etc. He went on to
serve as chief of staff and led the department’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He earned a BA in history from Boston College and an MA in History from the University of
Virginia.

As Vice President of Infrastructure at Mount Sinai Health System, Colin has oversight over the built infrastructure at seven hospital campuses and over 400 hundred off-site medical clinics, business offices, and residential properties. He has significant involvement with the design and construction of new building and renovation projects, sustainability, MEP infrastructure, and building envelopes. Prior to working at Mount Sinai Health System, he worked as a consulting engineer in the environmental engineering field. He is a registered professional engineer and LEED accredited professional.

Field Director, Facilities Operations, NewYork-Presbyterian

Kenneth Chien brings extensive experience in engineering, capital infrastructure, project management, and healthcare facilities construction, with a career spanning leadership role across major institutional, healthcare, commercial, and cultural projects. He currently serves as Field Director of Capital Infrastructure Construction at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where he oversees an enterprise-wide infrastructure portfolio.

Kenneth’s experience includes engineering and management roles at Mount Sinai Health, CBRE, Jones Lang LaSalle, the Lincoln Center Development Project, and Syska Hennessy Group. Earlier in his career, he built a strong technical foundation as an electrical engineer and senior associate at Syska Hennessy Group, where his work included campus and major infrastructure renovations, commercial office fit-outs, hospital projects, core-and-shell developments, and mission-critical facilities.

Kenneth earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Engineering. He obtained his New York Professional Engineer license in 2009. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Kenneth has contributed to the Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) Benefit-Cost Committee, providing input on the cost and benefits of healthcare facility guideline recommendations.

Madeline Julian, AIA, LEED AP, brings decades of invaluable experience in architecture, design, and construction, with a strong focus on creating world-class facilities both nationally and internationally.

In her role as assistant vice president, Madeline leads the design and construction of facilities—including the new Vagelos Innovation Laboratories—that support CUIMC’s mission to drive discovery, advance care, and educate future leaders. She also collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders and applies her expertise in finance, procurement, and contract compliance to enhance project delivery, uphold the highest quality standards, and foster innovation. Before joining CUIMC in 2024, Madeline was health principal at HDR, where she managed the healthcare practice for New York and parts of Connecticut. She completed various multimillion-dollar projects, including the design and construction of a 90,000-square-foot clinical laboratory at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Madeline earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture, with honors, from Pratt Institute. She is a licensed architect in New York, a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Organization of Minority Architects, and a LEED Accredited Professional. Madeline has been a speaker at various events, but finds her greatest joy speaking at elementary, middle, and high schools—where she inspires and introduces architecture and construction management to the next generation of leaders.

Brandon Reiner is a partner in Tannenbaum Helpern’s Construction & Design practice with significant experience representing healthcare institutions in complex construction and facilities matters. He has served as construction counsel to major hospitals nationwide, advising on
contractual and project-related issues across extensive property portfolios. His work includes
counseling on the development of new facilities delivering critical patient care, as well as the
renovation and modernization of existing healthcare environments to meet evolving clinical,
regulatory, and operational needs.

Brandon drafts, reviews, and negotiates construction management agreements, architectural
services agreements, AIA and manuscript construction contracts, and a wide range of professional services agreements. He regularly advises healthcare clients on risk management

other contractual challenges that arise during complex, highly regulated construction projects. He
