Noam Ben-Zvi
Co-founder and CEO at Placer.ai
Location analytics company Placer.ai currently has around 5,000 paying customers across commercial real estate, finance, packaged goods, the public sector and other areas, plus thousands more taking advantage of free tools on its website.
The company’s client list reads like a who’s who of everything, from real estate firms such as Tishman Speyer and Howard Hughes Holdings to tech companies that include Meta and Google, finance companies such as J.P. Morgan and CitiGroup, and retailers such as BJ’s, Planet Fitness and Dave & Buster’s.
Co-founder Noam Ben-Zvi notes that Placer.ai’s ability to provide detailed location info has been a boon for companies throughout numerous industries, and especially in commercial real estate.
“Anyone with a stake in the physical world needs data about how the physical world, consumer behavior, and human movement are changing to make smart decisions,” said Ben-Zvi. “Companies or municipalities could use Placer to support parks, to understand event impact, or to attract retailers to the city. But we see both sides of the coin sometimes, where we might see retailers deciding where to open up, and then a commercial real estate entity or city trying to attract them.”
Recent Placer.ai reports have spelled out everything from how retail foot traffic is showing the expansion of a two-tier economy between affluent and budget-
conscious shoppers, to how September 2025 was the third busiest in-office month since COVID, to how Miami is shaping up to be the city with the greatest return-to-office recovery.
Beyond the company’s already granular location data, Placer.ai is in the midst of deeper AI integration, which Ben-Zvi said will help provide clients with even greater understanding of any physical place.
“We have a lot of great data which helps us understand any physical place, and our challenge is making that available to customers to address their specific questions,” said Ben-Zvi. “AI provides a big unlock for that, because it can interpret a user’s question in natural language. AI is a real revolution in the space of market research and reporting, where it provides a bridge between users’ questions and the data. That was always the difficult part to solve.”
